I do no think thee is an ideal word for this in English. I also had to make decisions about the syllables and decided to focus on one of the nuances associated with « oripeaux », but nothing could really encompass the whole concept I think.

I definitely felt rotten on arrival, being unable to rehydrate in between flights in Dubai (just running through the airport to catch the next 15 hours flight). Long journey, safe but confused. The sun is here though !

Oripeaux is a difficult word. I found it translated as ornaments, garments, frills, tinsel, rags, disguise…
