After a few tumultuous weeks, surprise diagnoses and surgery, some anxieties and a long convalescence, the charm of ordinary life is appealing: drying my clothes in the sun, cooking nice food, take a vigorous walk (still a few weeks to go). These are the things that I miss the most.
