She put her life on the deck
under the gaze of the passers-by
they go by, they waste their time
they dream of her abandonment
of her life on the deck
Lovely reflections
Thank you Derrick
Isn’t it always interesting to get this glimpse into another life–or just the pieces and parts of a life, really. We don’t often see laundry on the line here anymore, though people remember line dried sheets fondly!
This one is on a boat, which is even more intriguing. Otherwise, one of the joys of my life in NZ is drying my clothes on the line . For some obscure reason it gives me great pleasure.
