« chancellent »–a good word for me to learn! Google translate gives « the hours totter, » which is quite striking, though « chancellent » is more beautiful to say.
Being totally biased, I would say there is a definite beauty in « chanceler », but I also like the phonetics of « totter » which gives a sense of hesitation.
