botanical garden, Nelson, leaf on the water, black and white, October, Sylvie GE
the day would taste wet
the cold would pierce my bones
in the barracks
at the end of town
books on the horizon
obscure titles
golden titles
filter, then "the" title
the treasure hunt over
I must confess I bought a weekly pass ( a whole 5 dollars), and went 4 days in a row. I even found some poetry ( a few pages in an anthology) from this year American writer Louise Gluck, poet and recipient of the Nobel prize literature! I also got a virus as a bonus ( followed by a covid test), but it was worth it, I tell myself, every night I see the corner of the bedroom filled with books (and now dust)..

This left me with that lovely feeling of hunting down a book to read. Fabulous.

Oooh, that sounds great, like a treasure hunt, except for the virus. I hope you’re all well now.
Much better already, thank you 🙂
