we sang in silence
tunes that said nothing
we sighed with fatigue and ease
at the end of sticky days
but time hardly passed
and we weren't moving forward
we were waiting to be grown up
so we could start living
but didn't know then
that we were already living
in the eternity of the moment

A beautiful poem full of the wisdom that comes with age
Thank you Derrick, the simplest truths take the longest 🙂
