Like the repetition of a circle
vicious or otherwise
the repetition of small misery
like a long queue
at the bank of torments
a too slow queue
at the sentiment market
always in the wrong queue
and small misery
(The terror of closed doors
says more than you think)
I love this. James Agee said once that he knew of fewer than a dozen alive whose eyes he would trust as he trusted his own–I think I would trust yours.
This is a humbling comment. Could my eyes be trusted? Who knows, but I am glad you like it. I did not think this one would be a hit, to be honest, not that I worry about this, but this is interesting to see that I am very regularly wrong about how readers will react to a photo or a poem. It makes the whole exercise all the more interesting.
Yes, it’s hard to know what people will like, that’s for sure.
