photo : coming back from Wharariki beach, a WestCoast feeling
sandy beaches, tides !
For most of my life, my body and mind have led parallel lives: it was my mind that led the game (no, I don’t have to sleep all these hours, I’m tired but it doesn’t matter, of course I can do a little more, etc.). I had warning signs that I dismissed out of hand, until one day my body had enough. We have since been trying to live together, the symbiosis is not always easy but when it happens, I wonder why I thought I could neglect such a big part of myself (and yes, we can have quite a bit of fun together).
I got up one morning, and there it was, autumn, I mean, and trees in their new colours. The morning air was also fresh, the light was different and created melancholy in the air. In the sun, it’s a magical season, but there’s also the rain that’s going to come (for which farmers will be grateful), chilly mornings, the four seasons in twenty-four hours and the addition of merino, wool socks and the definite sense that time is passing.

I would invent the snow, with whites and blues, some grays and shadows. Then I would be tired. I would rest for a while in the eyes of the light and would stay silent before closing my eyes.
