Archives par mot-clé : ghosts

#4032 poetry*

photo : obviously, a photo from a winter different from the ones we have in Nelson, but the feeling is the same. Ottawa River. This ghostly vision spontaneously inspired a(n almost) rhymed poem in French (not so much in English, though)

We found our ghosts/

where we had placed them/

in the river of our dreams/

where they fell asleep/

listening our lies/

but the music was nice/.

#4203 prose poem

Photo: Salisbury Falls, a memorable swim, icy water and beautiful sun.

Sometimes life resembles a dream and other times the dream is more vivid than reality. Sometimes ghosts invite themselves to the table, you dance a little with them before they disappear. Then, you search for the right words to express what has happened, you do not find them, but they end up finding you.

#4182 little stories

photo: Paton’s rock, Golden Bay, the « cabbage trees » as well as many New Zealand trees, stretch out in the sky taking all kinds of poses, they would be mistaken for ghosts without too much difficulty, at certain times of the day.

Of course, in the light of day, we recognized them, but when the clouds covered the sky, when the storm was brewing or the dusk was setting in, we were no longer certain, we saw shadows, angels, soldiers, warriors, enemies, ghosts of whom we made legends, formidable stories that would fill our history.
