I've been writing since I could write. Letters of the alphabet, then words, sentences, numbers, assignments, essays, research projects, messages, letters. I have written lectures, syllabus, presentations to be delivered at conferences, scientific articles. I write stories, poetry, observations and reflections that I share with others and others, that I keep for myself and yet... I always wonder about the source of this infinite need to grab a pen and wonder who I would have been if I had been born in a civilization that didn't not have this form of expression. I didn't read novels for many years, I couldn't find what I was looking for in them, then one day, after reading a review in a daily newspaper, I went to the library to borrow Journey to the End of the Night, by Louis-Ferdinand Céline, and I changed my mind.
