#4130 poetry

photo: Te Waikoropupu Springs, Takaka, Golden Bay, on the trail leading to the pure waters of Pupu Springs, you don’t know what to expect until you arrive

We were going somewhe

but we didn’t know where

and we went anyway

every step of the way

one second at a time,

or years, who knows

how long is the path?

but when we would reach the end

we would say to ourselves “already there?”

#4106 poetry

photo: path leading to Wharariki beach, dominated by the winds, one really feels  the West Coast. Trees have no other choice but to bend to the demands of the weather (one has to imagine the restless wind imposing its will on the trees).

we often repeated our eternal waltzes, which were only wind, but we didn’t know it. And we began to swirl again in the grass, all the breathing we had left in the heat of the day.
